Gun ranges & shooting clubs

The range gate opens for members. Nobody else.

Members scan a QR code at the gate, verify their phone, and get in — no shared combination, no keys to cut, no volunteer at the gate. Waivers signed before entry, guests on record, and a log of who was on the range.

Sound familiar?

A padlock and a combination only go so far.

  • The gate combination has been shared with half the county — and ex-members still know it.
  • Nobody can say who was on the range last Tuesday afternoon.
  • Waivers live on paper in the clubhouse, if they were signed at all.
  • Members bring guests, and there's no record of who vouched for whom.

How it works

Live in one sitting.

01

Print the QR sign

Put it up at the gate. No app, no hardware to start.

02

A member scans

Phone camera, any phone. Nothing to install.

03

Phone verified

A text code the first time — then remembered for 90 days, one tap.

04

Gate opens

They get the keypad code, or a smart lock opens itself.

Made for clubs

Everything the gate needs to know.

Members only, dues dates included

Import your roster. Give each member an end date to match their dues — the gate stops opening for them the day it passes. No combination to change.

Free

No waiver, no code

Everyone signs your range rules and waiver once, on their phone, before they get the code. Name, date and version on record; export for your insurer.

Growth

Guest passes from members

A member texts a guest a pass for the day. The guest gets in on their own phone, and you see who invited whom.

Growth

Sunrise to sunset

Open the range gate from sunrise to sunset, moving with the seasons — or set fixed hours. Anyone scanning outside them is refused, and you get an email when someone tries.

Growth · fixed hours on Free

Closed for weather, in one tap

Lightning or a flooded berm: close the gate now, until a time you pick or until you reopen, with a note members see when they scan. Holidays and match days go on the calendar ahead.

Free · closures & holidays on Growth

Who was on the range

Every entry and refusal at every gate, with the last 4 digits of the phone that verified and whether they're a member. Keep the full history and export it on Growth.

Smart locks

Connect the Wi-Fi lock you have — Yale, Schlage, Kwikset and more — or add a TTLock deadbolt. Each member gets their own code that expires on its own.

Pro

Questions clubs ask

Does it work with the keypad we already have?

Yes. QR Gate hands your keypad code to verified people — nothing to install at the gate. Keys and the keypad keep working as before.

Do people need an app or an account?

No. They scan with the phone camera and verify their number with a text code once. The phone is remembered — for 90 days unless the place chooses otherwise.

What happens when someone's dues lapse?

Set an end date on the member. The day it passes the gate stops opening for them — and if you use a smart lock, nobody else's code changes.

Is a waiver signed on a phone valid?

Typed-name agreement is how most online waivers work, but rules differ by state — have your lawyer or insurer approve the wording. QR Gate records who signed which version, when, and at which gate.

Can range officers clock their shifts?

Soon. A staff clock — officers clock in and out by scanning a QR, with hours per person and a CSV for payroll — is coming as its own product, QR Gate Clock. Join the waitlist at qrgate.app/#clock.

What does it cost?

Free for one gate. Growth ($29/month) adds waivers, guest passes and full history; Pro ($79/month) adds smart gates.
